One of THE hottest rock bands in the Midwest playing Awesome originals and Great Rock covers! They are being compared to bands like GOO GOO DOLLS, KANSAS, TRAIN and TOTO.
Produced by Chicago born singer-songwriter Robert Mackey, AVM has a classic rock soul and a progressive symphonic edge. The tracks on the new album are a compilation of heartfelt “relatable” lyrics and haunting melodic songs. The title track, “A Matter of Time”, was co-written and co-arranged by Mackey and multi-platinum songwriter and Grammy award winner Jim Peterik (World Stage, Survivor, 38 Special) who has
penned hit songs like ‘Eye of the Tiger’ and ‘Hold on Loosely’.
AVM's first single, a remake of Deep Purple's, “Hush” and their original song, “So Hard” can both be heard on radio stations across the country. Robert Mackey and the gang have spent their recent past playing a diverse array of venues across Illinois, and are preparing
to embark on their own radio tour promoting their new album, “A Matter of Time.” AVM's unique sound, chilling harmonies and boisterous symphonic strings, are sure to put all ages on their feet!
Ashley Lewis

Ashley Lewis has fronted the dynamic bluegrass band, Ashton Gap, for nine years. Known for her sparkling vocals, fine fiddling and fiery mandolin performances, Ashley is also a profound songwriter, and evidence of her Kentucky bluegrass legacy appears in the words and music of her original songs. By blending a variety of mandolin styles and her own rhythmic technique, Ashley has developed a unique sound that is true to the traditional roots of bluegrass with her own flair added.
Performing throughout the country and receiving worldwide recognition for her music, Ashley has also performed on the WTTW/PBS program, Arts Across Illinois on CenterStage in Chicago and throughout the country at various venues. A seven-time award recipient of the Illinois Arts Council for bluegrass mandolin, she has also been recognized by the Illinois Arts Council as an accomplished and accredited Illinois ArtsTour musician who is preserving the heritage and art of bluegrass mandolin. She recently graduated from Waubonsee College with a Music Performance degree and Presidential Honors. In 2007, she was honored with the prestigious "Fab 40" Award from the college for her musical contribution to society as a bluegrass artist.
Recently in Nashville, Ashley recorded her second project with the Entertainer Band of the Year, the Grascals, and Female Vocalist of the Year, Dale Ann Bradley, to create the notable CD, entitled, Here I Stand. Ten of the thirteen tracks on the album were written or co-written by Ashley.
In addition to Ashley, other musicians who add their talents to help create that inspiring bluegrass sound are guitarist, Andy Hatfield, upright bassist, Teresa Fry, and Doug Knecht on banjo. Ashley Lewis & Ashton Gap deliver an energetic and riveting performance with an innovative approach to all facets of music, while providing fresh definition to the traditional tunes. The combined effects of pure vocals, smooth harmonies and acoustic instruments blend to create that distinctive Ashley Lewis signature.

Red Woody
Performing in the Beer Garden on Wednesday 7/27 at 9pm and in the Entertainment Tent Thursday 7/28 at 6pm

Since its inception in 1999, Red Woody has been redefining what a cover band is all about. There were a couple things we wanted to focus on that would separate us from the other cover bands in the area. First…… play songs that the people want to hear. We felt there were too many bands playing solely 80’s rock, or just classic rock. Red Woody’s philosophy-there are great songs from every decade, why not play them? Some of the Artists we cover are Journey, Matchbox 20, Bon Jovi, the Strokes, Bryan Adams, Goo Goo Dolls, AC/DC, Mellencamp, Counting Crows, O.A.R., Poison, Skynyrd, Metro Station, Petty, Nine Days, the Stones…..In a word….diversity. Secondly……we wanted every show to be a party. At a Red Woody show, we want you to feel like you are in the front row of your favorite concert. Have fun!!! We know that free time is sometimes limited, and there are a lot of choices you could make as to what to do with your Saturday night. If you choose to spend it with us…..know that we are going to do everything in our power to help you let loose and leave that daily grind behind. Questions still?? Just come out and see a show!!!!!

How the game is played
Nine contestants between the ages of three and fifteen are chosen from the audience by a raffle system. The contestants are divided into three groups based on their size and physical ability. Each group of three contestants play wild and crazy games to determine a winner. The winner of each heat moves into the winners circle to await the final round and the runners up all receive a prize.
When all three semi finalists have been determined , the final round is played. In this round the semifinalists "spin to win" on the winners wheel. Age and size give no one an advantage.
