2017 Country Craft Faire Information and Requirements

When: To be held during the 2017 DuPage County Fair on Friday, Saturday and Sunday July 28, 29, and 30.

Where: DuPage County Fair Grounds – Fair Café (air conditioned) 2015 W. Manchester Road, Wheaton, IL 60187

Show Hours: 10:00 a.m.to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Doors open to vendors 30 minutes prior to show. Vendor must be present for the entire show.

Items – This is a juried show. Only hand-crafted work by the artesian will be accepted; no kits or manufactured items. Photos of the items you wish to exhibit must be submitted with your application.

Applications and Fees: Must be received by June 23, 2017. Payment can be made by check or credit card (Visa or MasterCard). If accepted, a contract will be mailed to you. Signed contracts are to be returned to the Fair Office by July 7, 2017. Credit cards will not be charged or checks cashed until July 10, 2017. If you are not accepted, your credit card will not be charged or your check will be returned to you.

Booth Fees: Each 10x10 space is $200. End spaces will be assigned on a first come basis. Limited spaces are available. The space fee includes 110 volt 20 amp of electricity; single phase. An 8 ft. folding table is also included – bring your own chairs. Please contact the fair office for additional electrical need and costs.

Insurance: Coverage to crafters will be provided under the $1 million tenant liability policy carried by the DuPage County Fair Association. The cost ($100 value) is included in the space fee.

Set up: Thursday, July 27 between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. or Friday, July 28 between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. These hours will be strictly adhered to. All exhibitors must check in onsite with Tabitha Dougherty prior to setting up. We must have the signed contract in our possession prior to set up. The DuPage County Fair Association does not provide personnel, equipment, or machinery to help with your booth set up.

Take Down: Display take down may begin after 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 30. All exhibits are to be removed from grounds on Sunday, July 30. Advise the DuPage County Fair Office if this requirement cannot be met. Any items left after this time will be disposed of. Exhibit area must be returned to original condition.

Booths: You must have a reliable person over the age of 18 in your booth at all times. No roving solicitation is allowed. All selling must be done from the confines of your space. You cannot protrude past given space. You may not make any unnecessary disturbances so as to distract from adjoining exhibits. All exhibits must be tastefully displayed and family oriented. Sides of exhibits should not exceed 4’ in height. Tables should be covered (no plastic table cloths) and skirted to the floor – covers and skirts are not provided. No animals are allowed. No alcoholic beverages or glass bottles are allowed.

Tickets: Contract includes six (6) one day passes to the DuPage County Fair. Additional passes can be purchased at the gate for $10 each.

Security: Provided 24 hours a day, but you are responsible for your own things. The building will be locked at night. The DuPage County Fair Association will not be held liable in case of fire, theft, or other physical damage to exhibitor’s property.

Electrical: Please bring your own extension cords, electrical ground faults, spotlights, or special lighting. Exhibitors must follow City of Wheaton, IL Electrical Code. Contact the Fair Office for information and costs of electrical needs in excess of what is provided.

Garbage: Please keep all boxes under your tables. Garbage shall be placed in the available dumpster at the end of each day.

Lottery/Sale of Chances: Are not allowed.

Cancellation – Once your application has been accepted, there will be no refunds. Please notify Tabitha Dougherty and the DuPage County Fair Office if you plan to cancel.

Failure to comply with any of the rules could cause you to not be invited back to exhibit in future Fairs. Interpretation of the rules and regulations is the responsibility of the Board of Directors of the DuPage County Fair Association. Their decision is final.
